Reflections is a series of musings that aim to re-contextualise our British waterways. Water holds immense cultural value for Afro-disaporic communities. It's often seen as a symbol of connection, spirituality and resilience.
This project delves into the hinterlands of experience beyond the rivers to explore belonging, identity and connection. Looking at the entwined stories and folktales of Caribbean and African communities. The conversations will be presented as ephemeral text based works reclaiming this urban waterway.
